Bill Davies at the German Historical Institute

Bill Davies participated in a workshop at the German Historical Institute in London on June 28-29.  The title of the workshop was "The Territorial State after 1989: Decline, Transformation or Persistence?".  Bill presented a general narrative of the history of EU law drawn from Morten Rasmussen and his forthcoming paper "From International Law to a European Rechtsgemeinschaft: Towards a New History of European Law 1950-1979".  Other participants at the workshop included Charles S. Maier, John Breuilly and former German Constitutional Court Judge, Udo di Fabio, who was responsible for drawing up the court's recent Lisbon Treaty decision.
